Pumpkin Frosting (Dairy-Free, Paleo, AIP)


Pumpkin Frosting. Yes. Delicious and nutritious! Lightly sweetened with raw honey and full of warm winter spices, you MAY also want to eat it with a spoon! It makes a wonderful topping to cakes and cupcakes (chocolate cupcakes), as well as some pumpkin cookies! This frosting is also AIP (auto-immune protocol) friendly (whaaat?! I know, I know….)


In a food processor:

1 C palm oil shortening

1/2 C fresh roasted pumpkin

1/4 C raw honey

1 t pumpkin pie spice

1/4 C coconut flour

Whirl until creamy and pumpkin is blended in! Put into a bag with a tip to pipe on treats, or spread with a knife onto a cake.
